Launch of the 2nd phase of disbursing PDM money in Buhweju Distric

On November 9, 2023, the Buhweju District Local Government, led by the District RDC Mr. Nicholas as the chief guest, officially launched the second phase of disbursing PDM money to selected beneficiaries from 19 fully scrutinized groups from Rugaba Ward in Nsiika Town council. The event, graced by the presence of District Chairman LC5 Mr. Deo Atuhaire, CAO Mr. Abenaitwe Robert, the District Commercial Officer, and the Nsiika Town Council leadership, took place in Nsiika town council.

During the launch, it was announced that the chosen beneficiaries would commence receiving their funds within two days following the event. Notably, this initiative has already made a positive impact, extending assistance to various individuals and households in the district. It was revealed that 2,720 individuals from diverse households had previously benefited from this fund. Acknowledging the commendable efforts of the RDC, district leadership, and all involved parties in overseeing this function, this marks a substantial stride towards community development.
